Texas State Pledge
Do you know the NEW Texas pledge? In 2007, state lawmakers added the two words: under God and this bill was signed into a new state law on June 15, 2007. Bastrop Middle School students recite the new pledge in this video:

The new pledge is:

"Honor the Texas flag; I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible."

Texas school children are required to recite the Texas pledge to the state flag. That state law was passed by state lawmakers in 2003.
